Born to Israeli immigrants in the diverse melting pot of Los Angeles, was exposed to and influenced by many different kinds of music, people and cultures. Studied jazz music at University of California, Santa Cruz, B.A. 2006. Studied music education at San Jose State University, California Teaching Credential Public School Certification 2010.

Studied privately with notable music educators: Bruce Becker, Ray Brown, Dale Wolford, Rick Rossi, Doug Webb, Greg Osby. Masterclasses with Bob Reynolds, Bob Franceschini, Jeff Coffin, Chris Cheek, Dayna Stephens, Gordon Goodwin and David Sanborn. Regularly performs with and leads a jazz/pop band, Latin jazz band and throwback swing band in Chengdu.

Arrived in China in 2013 and has been working as a music professor in the Jazz Department of Sichuan Conservatory, Chengdu since 2015, where he teaches Jazz History, Jazz Appreciation, Music Theory, Harmony, and student jazz bands, all in Chinese. He often does public lectures and workshops about jazz music, large and small ensemble arrangements, translates documentaries about jazz music, and translates for music related masterclasses. Debut solo full-length album "Vicissitudes" released May 2022. Endorsed by: Legere synthetic reeds, Oleg mouthpieces and ligatures, Omeibaige woodwind cases. Oleg China representative.
