"Work Song" was recorded in 1959 on the album Them Dirty Blues Julian "Cannonball" Adderley with his brother Nat Adderley.
"Work Song" remains a much played jazz standard and a classic recording of the hard bop era from what many consider to be the greatest year in jazz. I love this studio version as he blends blues and bebop perfectly with that classic sound and immaculate swing.
